Mazda Demio is a car known as the Mazda2 in Europe, just released in the Asian market. Demio 2012, comes with a 1.3-liter SKYACTIV-G with direct injection gasoline engine. Mazda Demio has been unveiled last month at the Pacifico Yokohama convention center, Tokyo, Japan. Demio comes with dual sequential valve timing and ultra high compression ratio.
To Spec Mazda Demio, among others, combined with i-stop idling system, SKYACTIV-1.3 G has a record of high compression ratio of 14.0:1, piston cavity is designed with technologies to support the ideal combustion and multi-hole injectors for precise fuel injection. Total of 130 patents must be filed by Mazda in launching this new 1.3-liter. Evelops 82 hp at 5,400 rpm (62 kW) and 112 Nm (83 LB-FT) of torque at 4,000 rpm. In accordance with the Japanese test cycle, fuel consumption is 30km per liter Demio or equal to 3.33 l/100 km or 70.6 mpg U.S..
Japanese car manufacturer has also developed a system called i-DM which monitors the movement of the steering wheel pedal, gas pedal and brake, and speed of vehicles, to inform the driver of the skill through the gauge and colored lights on the dashboard. Mazda Demio released at a quite affordable price tag in Japan, namely USD20.300.
